How to register on the game management system or GMS.

Many of you will be familiar with the growing involvement of the GMS in rugby administration in England.
The Game Management System (GMS) is the RFU system for administering rugby for all clubs in England. It can store members details, club details, match details, player registrations, certifications etc. It can also be used to take member subscriptions via DD, payments for events, tours, donations, etc, to communicate with members, register match results, provide an integrated website, and more. The GMS is also GDPR compliant – which ensures we comply with our legal obligations in respect to members personal data.
The Bowdon RUFC Board have decided to embrace the GMS and use more of its functionality.

The main functionality to be embraced now is to manage ALL memberships of the club on GMS.

This will enable all subscriptions to be taken via GMS, dispensing with the multitude of methods and accounts used at the moment. Importantly the members registered on the system will be the ones who benefit from the new members bar discount system. So make sure you are registered on GMS as follows
- You need to register your membership and pay your membership subscription via GMS. This will need to be by monthly DD or Debit/credit card – cash cannot be used.
- Don’t forget to cancel existing standing orders/DDs as you set up a new DD on the GMS. The GMS emails a receipt to you once set up.
- All VPs are already registered on the GMS and need do nothing more.
- M&J players and parents registered via GMS last September. You’ll need to renew for next season. As with last season Damian Child, Si Kelly and Chris Bathurst are your Go-To people.
- Senior players. A number of you are in the GMS (particularly if you are a registered player). So you just need to log into your account and pay the appropriate membership. Your Go-To person is Chris Flanagan.
- If you are a senior player and not registered on the GMS, you can sign up using this link. https://bowdonrufc.rfu.club/products. For help, your Go-To person is Chris Flanagan.
- Social members. A number of Social Members already have GMS accounts. You must register as a past(retired) player of Bowdon, a continuous social member since before 2016, or a social member joined after 2016. Your Go-To person is either Mark Jordan, or Mark Fenby. The link to sign up is https://bowdonrufc.rfu.club/products.
If you have received this communication from the GMS email system, you will have a username in the text at the bottom of the email. Click on the GMS link and use the ‘forgot password’ link if you need to. Look for ‘BUY MEMBERSHIP’ and choose the appropriate membership and payment.
Once you have bought your membership, you will go to a ‘Pending’ status, to be authorised by a membership administrator – just to make sure the appropriate memberships have been bought. Anything that needs clarifying will be taken up with the member.
