Thankfully, Warrington seems like a distant memory after an exciting, if chilly, days rugby at Caldy. Thanks to Simon and the Caldy coaches in particular their ref for getting us started/finished early in a biting Mersey wind.
Well done to all the boys today, everyone got plenty of game time and made the most of it. We need to work on some silly passes on occasion and our defence could still be more aggressive. But the scrum, rucking, back line running, support play and even line out was really firing.
Crossing the line today, (not all counted mind you), were Leo, Dan, Ted, Edward, Jack , Toby and Patrick. Apologies if i missed anyone!
Leo converted all except the one he had to drop kick in a force 10 gale!
It was a fantastic all round team performance, with many individuals putting in superb effort. Special mention to 2 players: Toby Redman gets better with every game. It's easy to forget he's only been playing with us for a few weeks. And finally Jack Passey, who's been playing since he was an egg! Today he showed just how good he can be. Great defence, great with the ball in hand and a superbly finished try to cap off a superb performance for the team.
Lots to work on, but I think we are back on track.
