The match provided a fascinating contrast in styles, with the home team showing excellent handling skills and passing the ball with admirable intent, and mixing their game up with kicking from hand. Some of the kicking lacked precision, however, allowing Bowdon to launch counter-attacks, and too often the passing ended up without any net gain in territory. Bowdon's more direct style, on the other hand, proved far more effective, with power and pace ensuring regular gainline success, and the inevitable flow of tries as a result.
Well done to all the try scorers, Robbie Agnew, Harry Briscoe, Henry Collins, and Oliver Meredith. Well done to the whole squad as well, of course, all players getting valuable game time, and all put in the hard work necessary to secure victory.
